Most Yellowknifers don’t believe a visitor Accommodation Levy of between 2% and 5% is likely to drive tourists away

However 12% felt it could reduce tourism and almost a third (28%) said they weren’t sure about the possible impact of an Accommodation Levy. These levies are now very common in tourism destinations around the world – reducing the need to raise taxes to pay for additional tourism marketing.
